Ken Deeley elected to the Canadian Society of Marine Artists. It is with the greatest pleasure that the Canadian Society of Marine Artists wishes to announce that Mr Ken Deeley has been elected to Membership of the Society: Mr Deeley was born Birmingham England, becoming a Canadian in the 1950's. He attended the Central Technical School of Art in late 1950's, Ontario Collage of Art in early l960's and became an illustrator, and marine watercolourist. His One Man shows include the Ontario Society of Architects, Toronto, Watercolour Show Joan Peterson Gallery, Boston and the Lowndes Lodge Gallery, London. He has exhibited in numerous other shows most recently at the: The Royal Canadian Yacht Club, 20th Annual Newport Outdoor Art Festival, National Watercolor Society, New York Central Valley Show, Toronto Historical Board Maritime Art Show, Heritage Night R.C.Y.C. His works are in public galleries, corporate and private collections in Europe, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. A sample of Mr Deeley's work may be seen here. The Canadian Society of Marine Artists promotes excellence in marine art, accepting that art is in the eye of the beholder and believing that the broad notion of "fine arts" - including both two and three dimensional works - and "excellence" should be used as guidelines. To maintain excellence, admission to the Society as a full member is by jury of the artists' peers. For further details, please contact Betty Ann Anderson, Executive Secretary,
