Warships of the Bay of Quinte

Saturday the 30th April 2011 from 1-4pm. you are invited to join us for the launch of this exciting new book.

This is a marvelous opportunity to meet, Roger Litwiller, a local author whose new book tells the history of the Canadian naval vessels named for the Quinte region: the HMCS Napanee, HMCS Belleville, HMCS Hallowell, HMCS Trentonian, HMCS Quinte (I), and the HMCS Quinte (II). Many local families had members who served on these ships or supported the ship's crew with care packages.

The author will be signing books and giving readings. Some of the original crew as well as family members who had loved ones serving aboard and the artist who created the painting used on the book's cover are expected to be present. There will be a number of photos shown in a slide presentation.
