Pim Sekeris elected to the Canadian Society of Marine Artists.Pim Sekeris is a graduate of the Academie des Beaux Arts in Rotterdam. Upon moving to Canada, he taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Concordia University, Montreal for several years. Sekeris's work demonstrates balanced composition with an understanding of the principles governing the diffusion and refraction of light and, as well, his experience as a sailor shows in his protrayal of the sea. It is with the greatest pleasure that the Canadian Society of Marine Artists wishes to announce that Pim Sekeris has been elected to the Membership of the Society. A sample of Sekeris's work may be seen here. The Canadian Society of Marine Artists promotes excellence in marine art, accepting that art is in the eye of the beholder and believing that the broad notion of "fine arts" - including both two and three dimensional works - and "excellence" should be used as guidelines. To maintain excellence, admission to the Society as a full member is by jury of the artists' peers. For further details, please contact Betty Ann Anderson, Executive Secretary,
