Maritime Provinces Steam Passenger Vessels

The Argonauta [ISSN 0843-8544] is a quarterly publication of the Canadian Nautical Research Society. Besides serving as the CNRS newsletter, it also provides a place for articles less formal than those which would appear in The Northern Mariner.

From 1990 to 2006, Robin H. Wyllie, researched some fifty Canadian ships for a series of articles under the heading of Maritime Provinces Steam Passenger Vessels. Fascinating reading, and a valuable resource for 19th/early 20th Century maritime history:

The Naval Marine Archive collaborates closely with the Canadian Nautical Research Society. The 2012 annual CNRS conference "The War of 1812: Differing Perspectives" was held at the NMA's "Victory" in Picton.
