Ship's plans

Our collections hold several hundred sets of ships plans, some were pure design plans, others construction plans, yet others made for model makers. Most of the plans consist of several sheets, vaying in size up to about 1.70m x 0.80m.

There are plans for warships, including a rare set for HMCS Haida (G63) "as built", sailing vessels from the 18th and 19th centuries, some "do-it-yourself" construction plans for iceboats and canoes, and much, much more.

The sections illustrated on the right are of the yacht Stormy Weather, Sparkman and Stephens design #27, 1933.

The searchable index may be found here.
