Privacy: the Naval Marine Archive – The Canadian Collection respects your privacy. Any personal information you provide to us -- including and similar to your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address -- will not be divulged, released, sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside Naval Marine Archive – The Canadian Collection, except that Canadian law may oblige us to disclose personal information to third parties, without an individual's knowledge and consent, to comply with a subpoena, a warrant or an order made by a court or other body with appropriate jurisdiction.
The Naval Marine Archive – The Canadian Collection may contact you in regards to any ongoing correspondance or related matters, membership, business of the Society, etc unless you have asked that we not E-mail you. You may contact us for removal of your address from any list we maintain, or any questions concerning CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation) or PIDEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). The Naval Marine Archive uses physical, organizational, and technological measures to safeguard your personal information. Our IT infrastructure is maintained to the latest industry standards, and is put to quarterly external testing. We must however remind you that in today's age, security is not totally absolute.
