Our "The Sailor" collection
Published from 1918 to 1934, The Sailor magazine was subtitled "The official organ of the Navy League of Canada" in its masthead, and "The Navy - Merchant Marine" on the cover
The cover of the January 1920 issue, with no indication of a name of the three masted ship depicted, shows the subtitle. The contents include articles on the visit of Admiral Viscount Jellicoe to Canada, the port of Halifax, the need to define a Canadian naval policy, and Canadian women assisting the Empire's sailors.
Availability: we currently only hold this one issue, but are seeking to expand the collection. Please E-mail us.
