29th Exhibition of the Canadian Society of Marine Artists

The Naval Marine Archive – The Canadian CollectionArchives and Collections Society and the Canadian Society of Marine Artists are proud to announce the 29th Annual Exhibition of the Canadian Society of Marine Artists which will open at 2.00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th, 2012, at The Victory gallery, 205 Main Street, Picton, Ontario.

A main theme will be the War of 1812, this bicentennial year. Many ships in the Great Lakes and along the coast were involved during this confrontation.

We are fortunate to have many talented artists who enjoy portraying these ships. Other subjects of marine art will also be in the exhibition.

The artists work in different media and it is a very exciting event to see these new works of the Canadian Society of Marine Artists and their guests.
