Early Christmas Party

Book signing – Guardians of the North

Saturday 15 November, 2-5pm

This is an open invitation to join us for an early Christmas party, meeting friends and enjoying a special feature – a book signing at the Naval Marine Archive.

Guardians of the North

Just released, this new book Guardians of the North: Canadian Warships and Maritime Aircraft, 1910–2025, by Richard H. Gimblett and Karl Gagnon will be available at the Victory with the authors present to autograph your copy. This is a 400 page hardcover book, published by Dundurn.

A unique presentation, written and produced by two prominent Canadian historians, formerly at the Department of Defence. Their research and presentation with accompanying art of this period of Canadian naval and military history presents the path of how Canada has procured its some 50 classes of warships and a dozen aircraft types over the past 120 years. This knowledge of history through the past timeline up to today, is so important in our current world.

You will be able to chat with the authors and discuss their book.

Visitors can also enjoy the current Canadian Society of Marine Artists work in the gallery.

We very much look forward to seeing you. There will be light refreshments and we would ask you to RSVP.
