Japan Foundation Visit

The first of August, we were honoured to have a meeting at The Victory, with Takashi Ishida, Executive Director and Mariko Liliefeldt, Chief Librarian from The Japan Foundation, Toronto.

The purpose of the visit was part of both organizations' cultural outreach, and more specifically to help refine the catalogue data for our nautical and aeronatical collections of Japanese material.

In our library we have over 350 books and periodicals in the collection which have information about Japan. Some of these books are written in Japanese characters and we were very pleased to have assistance in the translation for our catalouging.
