Cruikshank illustration for Smollett

This image, from The Navarre Society edition of 1902 of Tobias Smollett's "The Adventures of Roderick Random" (text of Lintot's edition of 1775, compared with the 5th ed, 1760, in the Bodleian Library), reprinted by Shakespeare Head Press, limited edition, 1926, was drawn by English caricaturist and illustrator George Cruikshank (27 September 1792 – 1 February 1878).

It represents the "Combat between Roderick Random and Captain Weazel" in Vol. 1 Chap. XII.
