Breton Industrial & Marine, Point Tupper NS

The Strait of Canso Marine Railway Co., later just Canso Marine Railway Co., was a repair yard that was in operation at least as early as 1866.  It was acquired by Murray Osborne in 1970 and renamed Breton Industrial & Marine Ltd.  Osborne added a dry-dock and the fabrication capacity required to build ships and operated the yard until at least 1988.  See the site from the air on Google here: it is now occupied by McNally International, the marine construction company that was purchased by Weeks Marine in 2011.  If anyone can add to the table below, please email info@navalmarinearchive.com.
