Burry's Clarenville Shipyard

Burry's Shipyard, Clarenville NL

The Government of Newfoundland built this shipyard in 1942, specifically for the war effort, and funded the construction of its first ten ships, which were collectively known as the "Splinter Fleet". It stopped building boats in 1979 but has continued as a repair yard, now owned by the Burry Group, which also owns the Glovertown Shipyard.
