City Point Iron Works, Harrison Loring, South Boston MA

City Point Iron Works was established by Harrison Loring in 1857, on a site at the end of the South Boston peninsula. The company, which was one of the earliest iron shipbuilders, failed in 1891 and was eventually sold at auction in 1894.
