Eastern Shipbuilding, Groton CT

Eastern Shipbuilding only built two ships, but what ships! The Minnesota and the Dakota were by far the biggest ships ever built in the U.S. at that time They were designed to carry 2,000 passengers between the US West Coast and Japan, averaging 14 knots.
