Matthews Shipbuilding, Hoquiam WA

Matthews Shipbuilding was started in 1897 by Peter Matthews. After his death in 1900, it became Hitchings & Joyce, and then in 1906 it was bought by George H. Matthews and became Matthews Shipbuilding. It closed in 1923. The yard was located by the E. K. Wood Lumber mill, although the exact location is not clear. The table below is clearly incomplete: if anyone has any data to add to it, please email info@navalmarinearchive.com.
