Southeastern Shipbuilding Corp., Savannah GA

The development of this shipyard was started by Savannah Shipyards, Inc., but was taken over by the USMC in early 1942 and assigned to Southeastern Shipbuilding Corporation. Its 3 ways were increased to 6 in the fourth wave of shipbuilding expansion, with $13mm from the USMC. The shipyard was located in East Savannah: see what I think is the site from the air on Google here. It closed after the war. Comments or queries, please email info@navalmarinearchive.com.
