Foss Shipyard

Foss Shipyard, Tacoma WA, Rainier OR and Seattle WA

Over the years, Foss has operated several small shipyards. In recent times, their shipyard in Rainier, which they acquired from Brix Maritime in 1977 and was their primary repair yard, was expanded to build tugs. Foss closed this yard, however, in 2018, concentrating their needs at their repair yard in Seattle, which had limited new construction capacity. This yard was closed in 2021.
