Victory Kids Schedule 2012

Come join the fun at the Victory this summer with Saturday morning programs for children ages 7-11. Find out what life was like as a pirate, pioneer, or viking. Learn about canoes, lighthouses, marine life, shipwrecks and the War of 1812. Investigate a variety of topics in local and maritime history, and then show your creative side with related artistic, dramatic, musical, and writing activities!

Classes will run from 9:30am to 12pm on Saturday mornings

  • July 7th - Canoes: First Nations history, Loyalists and their beginnings in Canada
  • July 14th - Vikings: Raiders, Warriors and Explorers
  • July 21st - Lighthouses: Why are lighthouses important? How many lighthouses are there?
  • July 28th - Pirates, privateering and life aboard a pirate ship
  • August 4th - Shipwrecks and mysteries of Lake Ontario
  • August 11th - Marine Life
  • August 18th - War of 1812: Everything you need to know about the war
