This issue of "Schooner days" covers events as witnessed by Amos MacDonald, keeper of the Salmon Point (Wicked Point" in sailors' terms) in Prince Edward County during Ontario's shortage of coal in 1902; including the wreck of the John R. Noyes. This article should be read in conjunction with the following week's issue, "What happened to the John E. Hall".
