Schooner Days DCXC (690)
By C.H.J. Snider

This installment covers the loss of the schooner Picton with Captain Jack Sidley and his young son Vessey. The reference to "the man who slipped off the deckload in Lake Huron" is somewhat obscure, but may refer to the loss of the Edward Blake.
