Military and related subjects
IMPORTANT: Please see our Index of military subjects (this page is retained for purposes of technical continuity only.)
While our main research focus concerns multiple aspects – from regional to wordwide – of nautical and aeronautical matters, there are some areas that overlap multiple subjects, for example: biographies; economics; political considerations; oceanography and cartography. Our subject matter and catalogued subjects reflect this diversity; the most overarching one being military which not only covers the interaction between various navies and airforces, but also provides an important canvas as background to our understanding of human history and the development of today's world.
Our Guide to Sources for Research into various military subjects, prepared by a number of specialists, examines a very wide range of published documents.
Our catalogue holdings, referring specifically to general military matters, are available here.
